Beastly Shadows of Horror Student Showcase
Explore the beastly shadows of horror and watch our Fly Freak artists share grim tales via aerial and dance. They’ve trained for 9 weeks to perform a custom choreographed piece, so each show will be unique - (come to all four)! This student showcase will feature performances on lyra, silks, and sling and include solos, duos, and group pieces.

Guardian and Kiddo Sling Workshop
In this 60-minute workshop, guardians and kids alike can take flight together! Learn how to safely support each other for partner poses on the floor and in the sling with plenty of photo opportunities throughout. No experience necessary!
This workshop package includes participation for both one guardian and one child. All ages welcome.

Dynamic Silks Workshop
This advanced silks workshop will explore beats, drops, flips, flips, and rotations. We will find ways to harness momentum and use it to your advantage. Students should have experience with wheeldowns and feel comfortable working on drop sequences. Some experience taking dynamic sling is a plus, but not required!
Lyra Dance Beginner/Intermediate 3-Week Session
Explore lyra sequencing and flow in this beginner/intermediate weekly session. Open to both novice aerialists and seasoned Fly Freaks alike. Sessions are cool because they give you the opportunity to build directly on what you did last week! No experience necessary. Very limited space.

Guardian and Kiddo Lyra Workshop

Winter Kids and Youth Circus Camp
Join the circus for five consecutive days with Fly Freak! Guided by our expert team of teachers, kids will practice aerial sling and Lyra (hoop), and get a taste of ground disciplines including acro balance, juggling, and contortion.
Prerequisite: at least one (four-week) session of beginner sling.
Dates: December 29 - 30.

-Make sure your kiddo eats well before class
-Note that pick-ups more than 15 minutes late after 12:30 will incur a $9 fee
Outdoor Aerial Shoot
Join us at the beautiful Newell Park (right up the street from Fly Freak)! We will be collaborating with the talented Says Foto creating summertime aerial memories to last a lifetime! All ages welcome!
Each person will have a maximum of 18 minutes to create their art mid-air!

Catch the aerialists of Fly Freak Studio collaborating with local musical artists, Ameen Taahir, Gym Kang, TODD, and Rodney Patrick Fair! There will be nearly twenty fly freaks performing some of the best aerial arts in the Midwest to live, luscious sounds of these local superstars at the infamous LUSH Lounge and Theatre.

Self Defense Workshop
Basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu moves to use in self-defense situations. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that uses leverage and joint manipulation to overcome an attackers strength. It’s one of the most efficient self-defense techniques, since the size of the attacker is not a concern when you know how to apply the techniques properly.

Contemporary Dance Group 9-Week Student Performance Session
Contemporary dance is a blend of styles from the classical (ballet, modern, jazz) to the current (hip hop, funk), all rolled into one explorative, inspiring dance.
Explore moving your body in a contemporary context. Classes will focus on movements that feel good, as well as phrases get the heart rate up. Expect a lot of class focus on transitioning in and out of the floor; and connecting with others in the room.

You'll learn and master the basics of aerial sling, including the terminology, and gain the confidence to enter any aerial yoga or aerial fitness class afterward.

If you have been hanging out in intermediate sling for a while, now is your time to level up! This 3-week series will focus on the bigger intermediate sling tricks like Georgia twist, Hayley's comet, shoot from the hip, kickstand, and corset. We will work on nailing some of the more difficult tricks and explore different ways out of common wraps so you feel confident going into more advanced explorations.

Sling Level-Up from Beginner to Intermediate, 3-Week Session
If you have been hanging out in beginner sling for a while, now is your time to level up!
This 3-week series will focus on the bigger beginner sling tricks like circus sit, ankle hang, hip key, and more. We will work on nailing some of the more difficult tricks and explore different ways through common wraps so you feel confident going into more advanced explorations.
Session Dates: Wednesdays - June 18 through July 2.

Class + Shoot: Sling + Projector
Learn and practice cool poses utilizing the sling for 30 minutes before the shoot! Afterward, there will be a photoshoot utilizing projected images as you fly! The shoot will last approximately 90 minutes, depending on number of participants. This will be epic. ALL LEVELS WELCOME!
Silks - Belay Shapes
What to do in belay once you get there? This workshop explores the many shapes and poses to be found within the tricky belay! Whether it is around your knees, hips, arms, or hands. We will also explore a variety of belay entrances and entrances to add to your aerial toolbox.
This workshop is best for intermediate and advanced silks students.
